Privacy Policy
Short, because there is not much to tell. We collect almost nothing, and we sell none of it.
Using the prompt builder
The builder runs in your own browser. The answers you give it — what you are writing, who it is for, the tone you want — are turned into a prompt on your own machine. We do not receive them and we do not keep them. You can use this entire site without telling us who you are.
If you give us your email address
Two places ask for one, and only if you choose to type it.
- The free prompts offer. We keep the address so we can send you the prompts, and occasionally something else worth reading. Every email has an unsubscribe link and we honour it immediately.
- The contact form. Your name, email and message, kept so we can reply and so we remember the conversation if you write again.
The chat window
If you use the chat assistant, what you type is sent to OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, so it can answer you. Please do not type passwords, bank details or anything private into it. That is sound advice for every AI chat window on the internet, not only this one.
Ordinary web records
Our server keeps the usual note of which pages were requested and the address they came from, which is how every website works. It is used to keep the site running and to see which articles people find useful. We do not run advertising trackers, so nobody is following you around the internet because you read something here.
Who else sees it
Only the services doing the job. OpenAI receives what you type into the chat window. Our email provider carries messages we send you. Neither is given anything for their own purposes. Our servers are in Canada.
Deleting it
Ask, and we delete it. No form, no fee, no explanation required. Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA, and Alberta’s PIPA) gives you that right and we would do it anyway. Use the contact form and write “delete my data”.
What we will never do. Sell or rent your details. Add you to a list you did not ask for. Ask for your password, your bank details or your card number. If a message claiming to be us ever does any of those, it is not us.
Children
This site is meant for adults and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If we find that we have, we delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly start doing something this page says we do not do.
