Why this exists
Most people are not bad at using AI. They have just never been told what a good request looks like.
Watch someone use ChatGPT for the first time and you will see the same thing every time. They type six words — help me write a marketing email — and get back something bland enough to belong to any company on earth. They conclude that AI is overrated and stop using it.
The AI was not being unhelpful. It was given almost nothing to work with, so it returned the average of everything it has ever seen. The gap between a disappointing answer and a genuinely useful one is almost never the tool. It is the request.
What we do about it
AI Prompt Helper asks you a few plain questions — what you are trying to do, who it is for, what tone you want — and assembles the detailed, specific prompt that a professional would have written. You copy it, paste it into whichever AI you use, and get an answer worth having.
It is free, and there is no account. No sign up, no credit card, no trial that quietly turns into a subscription. The prompt builder and the whole prompt library are open to anyone who lands on the page.
Who it is for
- People who are new to AI and do not want to be made to feel foolish while they learn.
- Small business owners writing their own emails, listings and posts, without a marketing department behind them.
- Older adults who have heard a great deal about AI and would like a straightforward way in. Our beginners guide was written with them in mind.
- Anyone who has tried an AI tool, been underwhelmed, and suspected they were doing it wrong. You probably were, and it is an easy thing to fix.
What we will not do
- We will not sell your email address. See the privacy policy, which is short and says what it means.
- We will not pretend AI is magic. It is confidently wrong on a regular basis, and we say so on the pages where it matters.
- We will not put the useful half behind a paywall and call the rest a free trial.
Where we are
AI Prompt Helper is built and run in Alberta, Canada. It is a small operation, which is exactly why an email to us gets read by a person. If you have a question, a correction, or a prompt you think belongs in the library, the contact page reaches us directly.
